Take a tour of facility and experience an up-close peek into the making and production of news around the globe. The Inside CNN Studio Tour kicks off with a 55-minute walking tour of CNN center with an exclusive view of CNN's control room theater, special effects studio and interactive news desk area, and includes hands-on demonstrations of the technology used, like Chroma key. Visitors will also enjoy viewing galleries overlooking the live newsrooms and anchors of CNN stations, HLN, and In Session.

Visits to the CNN Studio include a 50-minute tour of the Control Room Theater, Interactive News Desks section, real-time news broadcast and Special Effects studio.

CNN center: home to the world’s largest freestanding escalator

CNN center is home to world's largest freestanding escalator supported only at each end. This atrium escalator used on the CNN tour is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records and transports visitors to the inside of the 50 feet CNN globe.


  • When can I get on a tour?

    Guided walking tours last 55 minutes and depart approximately every 10 minutes. Tickets for the CNN center tour can be purchased online and by phone at 404-827-2300. The ticket office is open Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 4:30pm. Reservations are highly recommended and should be made 24 hours in advance. However, walk-up ticket purchases are available beginning 15 minutes prior to the first tour at the ticket office on a first come first serve basis.
  • Are there any dining options available?

    The public atrium area includes a food court with choices of full-service and fast food restaurants, like Arby's, Blimpie's, and Chick Fil-A.
