Meet Chef Art Smith

Author of three award-winning cookbooks and former personal chef to Oprah Winfrey, celebrity chef and TV personality Art Smith loves bringing people together through food.

Named “Humanitarian of the Year” in 2007 by the James Beard Foundation, Smith is the founder of Common Threads, a non-profit teaching children to cook wholesome and affordable meals. Through hands-on cooking, he teaches kids how fresh foods can help prevent childhood obesity, and about diversity through the celebration of our cultures and cuisines.
